Heaяt of Woяship

[ More than Lip Service ]

Have you ever heard someone say, "Do as I say, not as I do"? It sounds pretty hollow because the person doesn't practice what they preach. This kind of living can turn anyone into a hypocrite -- a kind of bogus, fake person who disappoints us with their actions. It's hard to believe or trust a hypocrite . . . especially a religious one. In Matthew 15:7-9, Jesus tells us that worship offered by hypocrites isn't honoring to God. In other words, worship isn't just something you do at church -- it's something you do with your life. God doesn't want followers who go through the motions of praise and worship; he's looking at your heart and life. Give him the sincere worship he deserves and honor him in all you do.
