Before You Apply
Before you put any makeup on, be sure your face is washed.

Healthy skin is the first step to a beautiful face.

Practice Makes Perfect
Your first attempts will not be perfect

so experiment with makeup in the privacy of your home as much as you can.
If your mom, older sister or even your Aunt Sally, is cool with you playing with makeup, enlist her help. She's had a lot more practice than you have and can show you the basics.
The best colors to start with are light, sheer colors.
They'll be light enough so, if you make a mistake it wont be as noticeable.
Plus, sheer, natural colors go better with today's style and work on all skin tones.

Have Fun
As a teen, you can get away with a lot more than older women!

Glitter, tropical colors - or no makeup at all - look great on us
but maybe a little over-the-top on adults.
