I know today is New Years but I just got some news that I just had to share...
James La Rue Avery, Sr. (November 27, 1945 or 1948 – December 31, 2013) was an American actor, best known for his role as Philip Banks (Uncle Phil) in the TV sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Sources state that Avery died from complications following open heart surgery in a Los Angeles hospital.
